This last Friday as our day was drawing close to an end, I saw a little boy do one of the most disgusting things...he spit on another child!!! Not just a little spittle, but a full blow, all over the face, not once but twice SPIT. I drug his little 5 year old butt down to the office and he was out of the classroom for the rest of the day. I don't know what possessed him to do it and he couldn't even say why, but to me there isn't any good excuse for doing something like that. I'm hoping that our Monday will be a little better than Friday!!
There is never a dull moment in a Kindergarten classroom!!

sick! kids do gross things...but, i guess, so do adults! happy monday to you!
That is so gross! What ever makes kids do gross things like that I will never know, but boy am I glad, and he would be too, that he isn't my child!=)
Gross! Way to go for doing something about it.
all you who teach kindergarten are special anyways, dealing with other peoples "babies" (that's what they still are on so many levels) on such a big scale. i do know that little boys do gross things and have no explanations often... i have one of them. but spitting all over another kid's face... that is disgusting. and you couldn't let him get away with it. oh, i am sick just thinking about my son in kindergarten and what phone calls i'm going to get!
Kids - you can't ever stay ahead! Each day is a new adventure!
It could have been worse: He could have picked his nose and asked the other child to eat it.
=0)Just saying...haha!
You are missed!
Wow! That is gross! I hope he learned his lesson! Never a dull moment.
I miss you terribly, btw. I wish you were back here. I miss you as a teacher too. We could use you.
Hi Friend! Glad to see Kindergarten hasn't changed much. I am in middle school world at the hospital. I am liking the new challenges. I enjoy that age on a 1:1 basis. Back to the Grindstone with Rodger and Susan at BSU. It's looking like next summer for comps! I miss you terribly and I hope to find some time to catch up with you. I think about you often! I need your school email.
Love ya!
Hey girlie! I hope you are settled into your new place- and the new job. I miss seeing you around on Sundays! So, I'm scrapbooking the Beth Moore conference from last Oct and was wondering if you have any pics from that event... if so, could you e-mail them to me? Thanks! Love ya! Sorry to post all this, but I don't have your new e-mail address!
